Streetlight exists to be a consistent resource meeting the physical, social, emotional, and spiritual needs of at-risk youth in London. The Streetlight program operates out of our Mobile Youth Center (Streetlight RV) and is staffed by a team of dedicated outreach workers, placement students, and volunteers. Our goal is to provide a safe and consistent place for at-risk youth (16-25 years) to come to receive food, basic needs, support, advocacy, and a sense of community.
Where and When:
Tuesday and Thursday Nights 7:00-9:00pm (Open Year Round)
568 Richmond Street (First Baptist Church, in between Victoria Park and Smoke’s Poutine)
Other Streetlight Programs:
1) Guys Group: Every Monday 10am -1pm (YFC in Partnership with Youth Opportunities Unlimited)
To create weekly opportunities for young men 16-25 to participate in physical activity, character building activities, community engagement, and mentorship.
2) Streetlight Community Supports: Email: firstname.lastname@example.org
Streetlight acts as a referral agency for youth seeking help with housing stability, mental health and wellness, addictions, legal issues, parenting support, and healthy relationships. We have the opportunity to journey with youth as they seek to make positive life choices in these areas, and support them as they work with other community organizations.
3) Streetlight E-recycle: Click HERE for More Info
To provide employment opportunities and training for at-risk youth with identifiable employment barriers, and to empower them with the skills and confidence to succeed in the workplace.
