Choosing to leave a gift from the heart brings meaning, dignity and purpose to a life well lived.
Your planned gift is your opportunity to participate in a way that allows the ministry to strive now and long after you have gone.
Charitable Bequests are gifts which are made through your will.
- General Bequest – Legacies that are left to YFC from the general value of your estate.
- Specific Bequest – are made when a specific item or property is bequested (ie-land, vehicle etc.)
Talk to your lawyer about how you can leave a gift to YFC London in your will. Note: The legal name for YFC London is “London Youth for Christ”
Other Tax Effective ways to give:
A student learning guitar.
Securities In-Kind – Consider donating securities In-Kind such as stocks, bonds and mutual funds. The tax advantages can be significant.
Life Insurance Policies – There are several ways to arrange a gift to YFC through your life insurance policy and in some cases, an immediate tax receipt can be given and premiums may be tax deductible. Ask your insurance advisor for more information.
RSP’s and RIF’s – These can be donated directly to YFC without paying any tax penalties and thereby increasing your donation value. Talk to your financial advisor for more information about how to do this most effectively for your portfolio.
