This past Monday we tested out the new kitchen in our (almost completed) Café Connect.
The carpet at the YFC youth centre had just been replaced in the main room and all the games and equipment were stored in another room while it was being installed.
In July I took a group of students to a basketball tournament in Toronto. We arrived super early and therefore had 3 hours to kill with a group of frustrated and bored young men.
The London Talbot Toastmasters Club of London recently hosted an eight week public speaking and leadership program for high school students at the Youth for Christ building at 254 Adelaide Street.
Over 170 youth and their families gathered at the YFC youth centre for a community Easter meal. Games, activities, conversations and laughter filled the centre on April 1st.
On Friday March 27, partners and guests of Streetlight gathered to hear the stories- of young people that the staff and volunteers journey with.
A student was asked to share about their experience at YFC London and how God has affected his life. He wrote it in a poem form and we wanted to share it with you as well.
As 1 of 10 national finalists, it is our hope that we can receive the most votes to win the national prize of $25,000 from the GoodLife Kids Foundation.
