OUTBOUND camps - SUMMER 2020

Ages 12-17
Fee $250/week

OUTBOUND EXCURSIONS bring campers beyond the city limits to interact with and learn from the great outdoors. Through nature-based experiences, youth are reminded of the beauty of creation while learning valuable life skills like leadership, communication and teamwork.

Sometimes the greatest life transformations happen when we’re removed from the stresses and pressures of our daily life. Join us on an Outbound excursion and develop a greater understanding of who you were created to be!

Canoe: July 13-17, 2020 from 9 am – 4 pm (Fri 8 am-6:30 pm)

Fee: $250

  • Sharon Creek Conservation (Delaware)
  • Parkhill Conservation Area (Parkhill)
  • Dalewood Conservation Area (St. Thomas)
  • AW Campbell Conservation Area (Alvinston)
  • Lorne C Henderson Conservation Area (Petrolia)

Summer and outdoor adventures are an awesome combination. During Canoe Week, we’ll be taking our canoes out on the water to a different spot each day. We’ll have fun as we learn paddling techniques in both mild and rapid currents, as well as boat safety. Working in pairs, we’ll overcome new challenges and build endurance to accomplish each day’s mission. Since many of these areas also have a beach, we’ll spend some time in the sand and water too. And over lunch, we’ll safely explore faith talks and understand what life with Jesus is like.

Join us for a week on the water and enjoy the great outdoors!

Land & Lake: July 27-31, 2020 from 9am-4pm (Fri 8am-6:30pm)

Fee: $250

  • Lambton County Heritage Forest (Port Franks)
  • Wildwood Conservation Area (St. Mary’s)
  • Mystery Falls & Rock Glenn Conservation Area (Arkona)
  • Ipperwash Provincial Trails (Ipperwash)
  • Devil’s Punch Bowl, Tiffany Falls & Sherman Falls (Ancaster)

Land & Lake means hiking and swimming at some of Southwestern Ontario’s most beautiful nature spots. We’ll hike in the mornings, crossing various terrains while learning forest safety and the rigours of outdoor adventures. And in the afternoon we’ll find a water source to cool off and enjoy a swim. We’ll work as a team to navigate the trails and deepen our friendships as we conquer obstacles together. Over lunch, we’ll safely explore faith and understand how Jesus offers safety and belonging in the form of communities.

What a great way to spend each day! Join us as we explore nature and appreciate creation.

FAB Week: – August 10-14, 2020 from 9 am-4 pm (Fri 8 am-6:30 pm)

Fee: $250

  • Antler River Archery (Delaware)
  • EcoPark (Arva)
  • Wildwood Conservation Area (St. Mary’s)
  • Big Bend Conservation Area (Wardsville)
  • Lake Whittaker (Harrietsville)
  • Pt Pelee National Park (Leamington)

IMPORTANT NOTE: Campers must bring their own bike and helmet for this week (special considerations can be addressed on request).

We combine some of the best summer activities into FAB week. Fishing, archery and biking (not at the same time, of course)! We’re taking daily trips to some incredible locations to enjoy nature and have fun. We’ll learn more about ourselves while riding on trails, searching for fishing spots and improving our marksmanship. Through these activities and our faith talks we’ll develop an awareness of ourselves and the people around us. Over lunch, we’ll have safe discussions about Jesus and the hope He offers the world.

We’d love for you to join us. Let the adventures begin!

Our hope is for every young person to experience at least one week of camp this summer.  Thanks to our generous financial partners, we have some subsidy funding available to help ease the cost of camp.
